From award winning national photography collections to amazing animal physiology reconstructions, and garden sculpture exhibitions, there's something to intrigue everyone, and this year they are holding an Art for Christmas exhibition, as explained in their website: -

Art for Christmas community exhibition
Friday 15 November – Sunday 15 December

This winter we’re delighted to once again host our popular Art for Christmas exhibition. This special exhibition is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate wonderful arts and crafts from Yorkshire and beyond.
The ‘Art for Christmas’ exhibition is a creative platform for artists to showcase a mixed media of work covering a variety of subjects including: local life, landscape, nature and wildlife. In the past the pieces have included paintings, photography, wood carving and embroidery.
Over the years the exhibition has received a large number of entries. Each artist is welcome to submit up to three pieces for consideration and the staff and volunteers at Nunnington Hall then have the difficult task of selecting around fifty final pieces for display.
All profits will contribute towards the conservation care of Nunnington Hall and its collection.

I am pleased to say that one of my prints has been selected for this exhibition:

Rievaulx Abbey, collagraph

The print is a collagraph, and in this work I wanted to depict the impact the huge, desecrated Abbey has on the local landscape. The remnants stand aloof, noble and defiant after the atrocity of attack and demolition centuries before.

The second exhibition takes place at Burton Constable Hall, a grand  Elizabethan mansion in East Yorkshire. I have four prints on display this season, and one of them has been chosen for the Exhibition Poster:

The sheep is actually one I saw at Burton Constable Hall earlier in the year. It stared at me with disdain, wondering why I was looking at him. I wanted to catch his inquisitive glare and woolly coat blowing in the wind.

I went with my colleagues from the Hull Print Collective to put up the exhibition.

The poster is cut down from the original print, which is on display at the exhibition.
